Apple AirPods 4 ANC: A complete disappointment!

Although Apple’s new AirPods 4 model aims to provide users with a better sound experience with its Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature, many users are not satisfied with the performance offered by the product. Apple’s first open headphone design in this model, the ANC technology offered is particularly inadequate in blocking high-frequency sounds. In addition, problems such as the loose fit of the headphones and short battery life negatively affect the user experience.

AirPods 4 ANC good at low frequencies, poor at high frequencies

The ANC feature of AirPods 4 can effectively reduce low-frequency sounds. For example, sounds such as car engines or subway noise are largely blocked. However, high-frequency sounds, especially car horns or human conversations, are almost completely blocked by the headphones. This situation is disappointing for users who have high expectations from ANC technology. While the silicone tip design on the AirPods Pro model offers a much more successful performance in blocking sound, the plastic tips of AirPods 4 fall short in this regard.

Users also have some complaints about the design of the AirPods 4. The loose fit of the headphones creates the need to constantly adjust the headphones, especially when moving. This situation creates discomfort during long-term use, and some users are worried that the headphones will fall out. Although Apple has presented this model as an alternative for users who do not like in-ear headphones, it does not fully meet expectations due to its loose fit and uncomfortable design.

Perhaps one of the biggest disappointments of the AirPods 4 is their short battery life. Offering only four hours of use with ANC on, these headphones are insufficient for users. Battery life is a major issue, especially for users who listen to music or make phone calls for long periods of time. In addition, the lack of basic features such as volume control on the headphones requires users to reach for their phones frequently.

The performance offered by AirPods 4 unfortunately falls short of expectations for users looking for ANC-enabled headphones.
