Artificial intelligence revolution! Diseases can be diagnosed from human voice

With the development of technology, diseases have also started to be diagnosed easily. Many diseases can be detected in a short time without going to the doctor through digital tests or smart watches. Although technologies do not make a full diagnosis, they recommend going to the doctor based on symptoms. Smart watches are especially at the forefront in this regard. However, recent studies have revealed that high blood pressure can be measured from the human voice with the support of artificial intelligence without the need for smart watches.

An app trained with artificial intelligence will measure blood pressure from human voice

Wearable technology has been developed largely for people to measure their body balance. However, recently, only smart watches have come to the fore thanks to their technical features. Technical features cause the price of smart watches to increase. However, not every user can access a smart watch.

Based on this, Klick Labs is working on an AI-powered app that diagnoses high blood pressure through the human voice. This app can be downloaded and used on phones, eliminating the need to purchase a smartwatch. The company plans to use voice technology to diagnose diseases in populations that receive inadequate healthcare services in a short time.

The Klick Labs team analyzed voice samples from 245 human subjects, evaluating audio recordings collected six times a day for two weeks. The team developed gender-based predictive models that detected high blood pressure with 84 percent accuracy in women and 77 percent accuracy in men. But testing is still ongoing and research is ongoing.

Klick Labs states that previous tests were conducted on a specific ethnic pool of people. They add that they will work with different ethnicities in new research to improve the app. That research is still ongoing. However, the success of the tests shows that the app will be available to everyone in the future.
